How to Use WhatsApp Web On PC Without Mobile Phone

WhatsApp has recently launched a multi-device feature that allows the user to use WhatsApp on four devices, independent of their basic smartphone. Basically, these features allow users to use WhatsApp on their computer, laptop, tablet or any other device on smartphone without active internet connection. This feature is called WhatsApp Multi Device and it is still in early development or beta stage.

With the help of the feature, WhatsApp web clients can send and receive messages over an Internet connection, without having to act as an intermediate device for a smartphone. In order to use WhatsApp for the web without a smartphone, the user needs to join the beta program by following the steps given below. This feature supports end-to-end encryption, so all chats through it will be safe.

How to use WhatsApp Web without a Smartphone?

To use WhatsApp without a smartphone, users need to link their smartphone to a version of WhatsApp that includes the WhatsApp web, desktop or portal. However, the process only needs to be done once. After that users will be able to access WhatsApp web without their smartphone. For some devices, this feature includes direct audio and video calling via WhatsApp web or desktop.

  1. Open the WhatsApp on the primary smartphone.
  2. Go to the three-dot menu in the upper right corner of the homepage.
  3. Tap on LinkedIn devices.
  4. WhatsApp will reveal information about the multi-device beta.
  5. Join the beat program and tap Continue.
  6. Open the WhatsApp on a laptop, desktop or tablet.
  7. Scan the QR code on the device with the scanner on the smartphone.
  8. The two devices will now connect and WhatsApp will synchronize web messages.
  9. This process may take some time.
  10. Once connected, users will be able to send and receive messages via WhatsApp web.

How many devices can be added?

As mentioned earlier, a user can add up to 4 devices, which can be used freely. When a user adds a new device, it may take some time for WhatsApp Web Client to sync the received messages and media to the main mobile device. However, once the device is connected, it will fully send and receive messages over an active internet connection.
