JazzCash, Pakistan’s largest mobile wallet has announced price changes on cash deposits in M-wallets.
A notice on the JazzCash website said that cash deposits of Rs 50 – Rs 20,000 will now attract a fee of 0.50 percent + FED while cash deposits above Rs. 20,000 will be the fee. 100 + FED.
In a statement, a JazzCash spokesperson said, “The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) vide circular dated May 12, 2023, has directed cash deposits of 0.5% of the transaction amount, or PKR 100, whichever is less, to M. – Wallets Prior notification in this regard was ensured to customers through JazzCash website and retailers were also informed through SMS.
Transaction charges on cash deposits are applicable only at physical touch points (franchise, retailer, experience centre).
