How to Delete a SnapChat Account

SnapChat is one of those apps that has as many users who love it as those who hate it. Whether you need constant notifications or you need comfort and fun, SnapChat is a great app. If you need to delete your account from your phone or computer, you can do so in these four easy steps:

Go to SnapChat Account Portal.

If you’re on your computer, go to the SnapChat account portal and enter the username and password you’d like to delete. If you’re on the app, click Avatar in the top left corner.

Press the gear button.

Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select “I need help” under “Support”.

Go to ‘My Account and Security’

Then, scroll down to the section labeled “My Account and Security” and click on “Account Information”. Click “Delete My Account” and enter the username and password of the account you wish to delete.

You will receive an email from Team SnapChat confirming that you have chosen to delete your account.

The account was deactivated with a 30 day warning.

Your account is now officially deactivated, meaning you now have 30 days when you can no longer chat with friends on SnapChat but your account still exists. So, if you change your mind about SnapChat, you can log in and reactivate your account.

If there is no interaction during this period, after another 30 days, your account will be completely deleted, ie your account, friend, snap, chats, device data, etc. Snap chat user data Base will be deleted.

For your information, SnapChat says it will still “retain some personal data for certain legal, security and business needs,” such as information about in-app purchases.
